What should be done?

We are all deeply indebted to the Church, Greek philosophy, and Newtonian Classical physics for all the luxuries we are enjoying now, followed by Buddhism and Taoism (both of them are offshoot of Indian wisdom).
Church believed in communication and communication net work such that every one had the opportunity to explore further on the information obtained. This approach paved the way for rapid development in science and technology, taking those countries highly developed status. Other countries areat mercy of the developed countries to get the technology transfer for sustenance. The developed countries continue to research on energy and mass to meet the fast changing needs of the consumers.
Every Indian needs to realize this truth and come of their traditional complacency.
Indians has to control the extravaganza and use their resources in exploring the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats at village level. Village level, culture, philosophies, arts and crafts are to be subjected to further research. High tech research and development laboratories suitable for that specific environment should top the list of priorities.
Research in pure science and ancient wisdom should be elevated to professional status. Now it is enjoyed by undeserving unemployed (MBAand Engineers and Charted Accountants, etc,) who are not involved in improvingthe economy of India. Where as, genuine pure science researchers are not getting their due recognition.
The worse is the MBA. You can become an MBA by spending justRs.16000 and two years. You can get an MBA for 14 lacs as well. Both of them get equal status in the society based on the reputation of the organization in which they are working.
Needless to mention my respect to all in the referred professionals genuinely involved in the improvement of Indian economy.
Research on traditional medicines, environment, Homoeopathicmedicine, Ayurveda and otheralternate medicines, should be elevated to professional status just like Modernmedicine. Like the practices adopted in modern medicine, competency of theseprofessionals should be assessed on the number of papers published in technicaljournals.
